Artificial intelligence systems have become deeply integrated into critical applications—from healthcare diagnostics and financial forecasting to national defense and cybersecurity operations. However, the increasing reliance on AI also introduces new vulnerabilities. In response to this, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has published a foundational document:
“Adversarial Machine Learning: A Taxonomy and Terminology of Attacks and Mitigations” (NIST AI 100-2 E2025)
